CLUB LADDER Q3 RESULTS

Congratulations to the podium finishers as at the end of September

The ladder has now been reset with the results reversed and will now run until Christmas.

Previous results have now been immortalised HERE so winners can revisit glory forevermore.

 

YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU!

The best fencing club in the whole universe (well, Hertfordshire at least) does not happen by accident.

No, it only happens with the help and input from the various members of the Committee.

You too can be part of what makes the club as great as it is, by helping out;  we have some vacancies and need your help.  All you need to volunteer is a bit of time.

  • CLUB SECRETARY

Dom is standing down as Club Sec, and the Club would like him for his efforts <applause>

Matthew R has kindly volunteered to take over in addition to his role as Welfare Officer, but that will mean he needs some assistance in the form of a Deputy Welfare Officer -see below.

  • CLUB CAPTAIN

Richard R is hanging up the Captain’s armband at the end of 2025.

Can anyone step into his Kempa shoes and take over the running of the Three Counties League, and the Club Ladder?

The Club extends its thanks to RR for his work on the 3C league and getting the Club Ladder up and running and in the fine shape it now is! <more applause>

  • WELFARE OFFICER (DEPUTY)

We’d really love to have a Deputy Welfare Officer to assist Matthew R now he has taken on the Club Sec. role.

A female DWO would be preferred if possible, but it’s not essential.

SOME FENCING DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

As we are now into Q4 and the run up to the end of the year, please note the following dates:

  • Thurs. 23.Oct & 06.Nov:  Small Gym (due to an event in the main Sports Hall)
  • Mon. 24.Nov:  NO FENCING (School closed for inset day)
  • Thurs. 11.Dec:  CLUB XMAS DINNER (NB: No Fencing that night).  Details to follow shortly.
  • Thurs. 18.Dec:  GREAT FENCING BAKE OFF (& last Fencing of 2025 TBC)
