TONIGHT 05.11
We’re in the SMALL GYM tonight so that means no Beginners or Coaching (though Coaches are welcome to fence of course!). There’s no group warm-up so please come prepared to do your own.
We’ll run 3 full length or 4 short pistes depending on numbers so please help us by booking in as early as possible so we can gauge numbers and set up accordingly.
It will also help if you can please keep fencing kit bags to either end of the gym and please don’t leave weapons, masks etc in between the pistes.
Last week we hosted MK for a 3 Counties League Match
Match report by Team Captain David W:
SAFC started well with the foil James W winning all 3 matches on his debut. A 7:2 win overall. Hopefully this is enough to win the foil league. Then on to the Epee where Alex was debuting, and while he fenced well, unfortunately he didn’t realise the match was to 3 minutes, so lost his first match on time. The match continued to be very close but we lost 5:4 with one match going to 4 all. A win in the match overall 11:7. Thanks to 3 James, Alex, Matthew and Simon. We are expecting Hitchin next Thursday (12th) which is likely to be the last match of this year.
