TONIGHT 22.10
We’re in the SMALL GYM tonight so that means no Beginners or Coaching (though Coaches are welcome to fence of course!). There’s no group warm-up so please come prepared to do your own.
We’ll run 3 full length or 4 short pistes depending on numbers so please help us by booking in as early as possible so we can gauge numbers and set up accordingly.
It will also help if you can please keep fencing kit bags to either end of the gym and please don’t leave weapons, masks etc in between the pistes.
We’re back to normal for next Thursday, 29.10 and will be hosting MK for a match.
And speaking of matches….
SAFC AWAY AT BEDFORD TUES. 20.10
Match report by Team Captain David W:
There have been unsuccessful expeditions throughout history; Napoleon’s away day to Russia, Challenger’s trip to space, my last audit in Sheffield. Compared to those St Albans visit to Bedford was a success as there were no fatalities. However losing 8:1 at foil and 6:3 at Epee was not a great evening. Looking for the silver lining their foil team had some very strong fencers and all the Epee matches were close with no-one in our team scoring less than 3 in any match. Thanks to all those who attended, onwards and upwards. MK home on 29th now confirmed.
It was so bad we didn’t even bother with a photo! On to lighter and brighter things, we bring exiting news of the…
