TONIGHT 15.10
It’s week three for our Beginners. For everyone else, there’s a group warm up from 8pm followed by free sparring and individual lessons – to book, please put your name on the whiteboard.
CLUB COMPETITION NIGHT – THE RESULTS!
Last Thursday saw the welcome return of a club competition night.
It was a Poule Unique format for Foil and Epee, with each bout to 5 hits or 3mins fencing time.
After a stewards enquiry, the final results were confirmed as follows:

Top epeeists Matthew R [1], Bryant [2] and David W [3]
Well done to all that competed, there were lots of good close bouts and good sportmanship
The format seemed to work well but we’re happy to tweak it for next time if anyone has any suggestions, let us know. We’ll be running another one soon, watch this space.
CLUB CONSTITUTION & EGM
The Club’s Constitution is due some updates and a proposed draft has been agreed by the Committee. Any revision needs to be adopted by the Club at a General Meeting and requires a minimum number of votes.
The training session on Thurs 19 Nov. will include an EGM (it should just take a few minutes) to facilitate a vote to adopt the update, which is available here.
